Waiting For Summer!

So I came home from the ball park the other day to find someone had left pretty flowers for me to plant in my flower bed. Either they really like me, or they are just trying to help my colorless flower bed! I think it's safe to say that I really don't have a green thumb, but I can mow the lawn like nobody's business! So my lawn looks great, my flowers beds are lacking. It has been so darn cold that the iris (that really aren't my favorite but Troy likes) have been really slow to blossom. Today has got to be a record cold day for the month of June. I think the high will be about 56 degrees. So I found my own flowers. These are much better. Very hearty, easy to care for, full sun not required although we still pray for it!

You're my kind of girl Julie!! I love to mow the lawn!! The rest of the yard is as "maintainance free" as possible. Roses and lilacs take care of themselves! I was telling my friend who was complaining about their 100 degree weather on the east coast about our mid 50's day in June!!! I'm glad it's finally warming up!! BTW, I love the father's day post! I'm sure you earned some "favorite daughter" points with that one! Most of all I love how the rest of your family posted their thoughts and love as well. Now... can your dad find your blog on the internet to read it??? Mine can't!!
