MY DAD..THE RICH MAN!

There couldn't be a better theme song for my dad than this "Fiddler on the Roof" classic! To know him is to know that he is as frugal as they come! I remember being told not to open the fridge until I was going to get something out. Standing in front of the fridge with the door open gawking for something was a waste of energy. Many times we were told "FOUR SQUARES, that's all you need!" It would seem he was overly concerned about his supply of toilet paper because I recall after a toilet papering incident having to clean up the paper and bag it for future use!

My Dad can make a meal out of anything. His specialty is what we affectionately call, "The Week in Review". It's a simple recipe really, every leftover from the week thrown into a pot. Mom throws a little ketchup on and, viola! A meal in minutes!

My Dad is a rich Man. Not in terms on money. But rather in terms of spiritual wealth. He is blessed with a beautiful family. A legacy. His love of the gospel and desire to serve his Heavenly Father has always been for most in his heart. My Dad magnifies the Savior's love in all that he does. He is a "roll up your sleeves and get it done" kind of guy. For this example, I will be eternally grateful. Happy Father's Day Dad! I love you!

What a handsome guy! I was trying to think of something funny to say... some wisecrack about hair, but I couldn't think of anything.

Happy Father's day Dad!

We love you!

Hey Dad,

Happy Father's Day! We hope you have a wonderful day. I just wanted to thank you for all what you do for me and my family we really appreciate it. Thanks for being a good example. You've always have shown me the importance of hard work and devotion. Thanks for doing all those extras that you did to provide for us kids, like when you and mom cleaned US Welding for all those stinky cigarette years even though you didn't like it. Thanks for showing me devotion through all your many church callings. You've have been a wonderful example of what it means to truly serve. You are a wonderful Dad! Thanks for everything.

I remember dad's chinese noodles! or SPAM Fried Rice! Those were DA BOMB! I recently took Riley to go see "Kung Fu Panda" after seeing "Po's" Noodles it made me crave dad's chinese noodles so I made it for me and Riley that night. I told Riley that they were famous noodles just like in the movie "Kung Fu Panda" he laughed but didn't finish his bowl. I've never been able to make them like Dad's. I'm sure Tommy was disappointed he missed them because he was out of town. But then again Tommy could never figure out why we called them chinese noodles. Duh! the secret is in the sauce!!

I love you Dad!

Julie,
What a great picture and tribute! That was sweet! I also love your new background! The song brings back fond memories of last Summer....I'm so glad that you were willing to help put that road show together so that we could become friends!

Dad's recipe's are among our family favorites. However we have renamed Chinese noodles to "Brain Soup". It has something to do with the sauce. But the absolute best is dad's italian dressing--I'd love the recipe, but dad has never made it the same way twice.

My dad is the greatest. He is very wise. Some of my best childhood memories are of driving home from US Welding with dad. We had some good talks. My kids love their grandpa, and have enjoyed teasing with him.

Special thanks, dad, for being willing to bail me out. Let me refresh your memory...coming to Henefer EVERY Saturday to help Wade rebuild this house, taking Tyson to court for me, allowing Mitch to live with you, and taking Kylie to a daddy daughter date when Wade was out of town.

You are so special to me, dad. Happy Father's Day.

Happy Fathers day (a few days late!) We found this picture online and Ava thought it was Todd! :) The good news is, I know what he'll look like when he's 60 something... huh?
Thanks for raising a wonderful son, who has such fun memories of a great dad. Thanks for being a wonderful Grandpa to our kids! They ask about Grandpa and Grandma B all the time, and I'm so thankful to know they're so lucky.
And thanks for being the kind of dad that has lots of fun stories to share. I love hearing them! :) Hope you had a great day!
