Kicking it up!

This year just Kaiti and I went to dance competition and left the boys at home. It was a fun road trip, although my old out of shape body didn't like the drive very much. But we made good time, a little over 3 hours there and back! Kaiti's team took 1st Place in both dances and now are qualified for Nationals at Lagoon. They didn't get the All-Around, but they should have. Here our some pics of my favorite KaitiBug and the road trip as well.

This is just one of the many pictures Kaiti took on the way down that she is absolutely certain inspired some of the scenes from the movie Cars!

What's a road trip without a jaunt down memory lane? When I saw this station wagon, it reminded me of the Witbecks who lived across the street from us growing up. We were so jealous when they got a station wagon just like this, wood panel and all-except theirs was green!

This is one of my favorite pictures. I just wish my windows would have been cleaner!

#$%#%!!! Don't I wish I looked that good! What a cute shape she has! Oh, and the dancing ain't to shabby either! (she's going to kill me for saying that!)

This dance had a 70's theme-hence the Saturday Night Fever moves!

This is my favorite move of this dance. I have no idea what it's called but it looks really cool, this picture doesn't do it justice-neither does the fat head at the bottom, come on people, that's my kid dancing! Get out of the way!

Girls are so fun to watch sometimes!

Rico's failed audition!

I am not a pet person, not even a little. I love our dog, he is after all living thing created by our Heavenly Father, I don't want him. I don't want to fight my kids to feed him. I don't want to fight my kids to pick up poo. I don't want to chase him throughout the neighborhood.

A couple weeks ago I put him on KSL.com in an effort to find a new and better home for him. One day I got an email from someone saying they were interested in looking at him and could they come out and meet him. I immediately replied in the affirmative. Well she came out and asked if she could walk him, I said that would be fine but he's not very good on a leash. We leashed him up and off they went. They had been gone for a really long time and I started getting worried-not really, more curious than worried as to where they had gone. I called Marci and told her what was going on, she thought maybe he had run away from her and she was too embarrassed to come back without him!
Turns out when they returned they had had a lovely walk. In fact she commented on how well Rico was known in the neighborhood, that he must be quite popular. She said she would need to talk to her husband and would get back to me-which is code for, sorry I don't want your piece of crap dog!

So, if you should see Rico roaming the neighborhood with a stranger, it may be that he has found a potential new owner! Please talk him up, for all our sakes! Otherwise, if you know of a farm somewhere that might need a good dog, let me know!

What I've Been Up To!

So it feels like forever since I posted last. I have to admit I was getting the DT's! But I'm better now and wanted to post a little of what I've been up to! This may be one of the longest post I have ever done-stay with me! Here's hoping you don't get bored!
Max and I flew to Seattle to see my nephew be baptized. This was a "Just me and Max" trip. With so many events over the next couple weeks I am way poor and will now have to work all my scheduled hours!!!! That rarely happens, but teenagers are expensive! So Max got the first trip to see his cousin Brendan be baptized. I had never been to the north west and I have to say that is truly one of the most beautiful places-even in the winter, that I have ever been to. The trees were amazing. They were just everywhere. It was almost as if the roads and streets were out of place. But here are some fun pics of our trip!

Here's me and my little brothers, Brian and Todd. I love them dearly, I just wish I didn't feel like a huge amazon woman when I stand next to them. I did have on heels which explains my height in this picture, but I have to say I look really, umm, big boned! Not a very flattering picture!

Max and Brendan-they are best buds! Max was so excited to see him. They had so much fun together.

Max and Grant. Max loved little Grant. Several weeks ago he asked me why we don't have anymore babies. I'm too old and shriveled up, that's why!

Uncle Todd and Max were Chugging with a little train-that you can't see, it's behind Max. It made me happy to see Toddy interact with Max, we don't get to see them very often!

Brendan doesn't think Max is going fast enough, but Ava and Eliza seem content!

I love this picture! It turned out pretty cool, mostly by accident. Brian tried to teach me how to use my new camera, I'm just not getting it! I think I'll have to take a class! But this is cute Ali! She loves me and I love her! Thanks for sharing your bed with me Ali!

Several of the pictures I took of Max were of this pose! I pretty sure he thinks he is the king of the world! I love it!

Ali is quite certain she is not going to be outdone by the boys. I love the determination on her face, or is that fear!?!?!

Happy Birthday Babe!

Today was Troy's big day, he turned 40! Wow! I love him so much. I wanted to do something special for him, and just plain ran out of time. He is such a good husband and father. He takes such good care of me!
So here's a little glimpse of why I love him so very much. Some of these pictures are not the most flattering of either one of us. But I will say, I love him more today than I did 16 years ago.
