I DID IT!

I finished the Salt Lake 5k!I didn't think I could finish without having to walk but I did okay. At the 2 mile marker, I felt a little winded, I slowed down around the corner and then got my inspiration! Gloria Gaynor's "I will Survive" came on my Ipod! It was just the boost I needed. I finished in 33:07 minutes, just 27 seconds off my personal best. Not too bad. I finished 54 out of 180 women in my age group. Yeah me! I don't have any pics of the "Photo finish", I was lucky Troy and the kids saw me at all! But here are the signs they made! JetBlue was an official sponsor of the race and had these cute posters for people to cheer on the runners!

My Inspiration

I don't think I ever really explained the title of my blog, "All My Favorites". To know me is to know that I have never felt like "the favorite" anything. I have sorta suffered from middle child syndrome my whole life and sometimes I let it paralize my life. One day I stumbled upon a book titled, "You're All My Favorites". As I read it, it reminded me of my favorites. I knew I had to have it. I brought it home and called Troy at work and began to read him the story. I bawled through the whole thing. Although he didn't say it, I know he was thinking I had lost it! Then one of my favorite kids, who by the way is a genius, inspired me to begin this blog. After all, if she could figure it out, so could I! So from time to time, I share with anyone interested in looking, my favorite pictures, sayings, songs, places and most of all ALL MY FAVORITES! From my first, to my middle and to my last, they are all my favorites!
