Trek was an amazing experience for both my kids! They both loved it, although for very different reasons. Alex I think more emotionally prepared for the experience. He loved his trek family and loved the fact that his best friend, who is a non member bore his testimony! Kaiti had a great time too. I think she learned a lot and loved the social aspect!
I loved that they missed us! I was glad for the opportunity to miss them too! I love my kids and sometimes I forget I only have them for a small portion of their lives and then they grow up and leave me.
They say "absence makes the heart grow fonder!" I think we all felt a little fonder of one another, at least for the first week of their return. Since then it's been business as usual! So I guess we're all winners!
